Your Neighbor Made It

Argh, I’m having issues with super loud walkers newly moved above me. A friend recommended this Marpac soundscreen (since asking them to be quiet just has not seemed to help). I noticed it’s made in the USA and I plan to purchase soon!

We found these fun and colorful canisters while registering at Macy’s! And…they’re made in the USA! Since 1936, Fiesta has been making china in the USA. As my loyal readers know, my question for “made in America” products BEGAN with my search for an American-made wedding gown. Amy Kuschel was my initial “find” into American-made dresses. Who knew?! I was thumbing threw the Crate & Barrel fall booklet today and in big bold letters, it says “Benchmade in the USA - Crate & Barrel upholstered furniture collection pieces are all benchmade in the USA at family-owned workshops we’ve had relationships with for up to 30 years.” Fantastic! With all of their products, this is a small start, but a start nonetheless. Check them out. After all, their upholstered furniture is handmade by your neighbors! 

In my searches, I have found that a lot of cleaning product manufacturers are proud to be Made in the USA! One of my facebook contacts highlighted one such company to add to the list: Libman. For over a century, the Libman family has made quality their utmost priority. They started with durable brooms and branched out to the finest mops, brooms, brushes, and cleaning tools. All made in the USA! When you’re stocking up for cleaning, check out Libman! 

I was showering this morning when I was delighted to turn over my bottles of shampoo and conditioner to find that Tresemme products are “Made in the USA”! Fantastic. Remember that next time you are shopping for new hair products. After all, your neighbors make them!

As I take a brief (week) hiatus for work issues, here is an article to show the power of investing in our neighbors and creating jobs right here in the USA: the vehicle manufacturing market is rebounding way faster than other parts of the economy. What’s the difference? Maybe the fact that these auto industries are committed to staying in the USA - as opposed to getting bailed out to ship out the jobs?
